Well... my parents are home. Just in time to go on another trip for the labour day weekend! Seriously, I love their priorities.
ANYWAYS! Seeing as I didn't get to have any big party to smash up my parent's house during the summer since everyone was busy....
BEN WHAT ARE YOU DOING THIS WEEKEND?! Because I say... practise or drinking party at my house? Before we go back to school and life starts to suck again?
And Kim we haven't made out hung out in awhile. ): so... what are you doing?
Also. I have Rock Band now. I don't know why I didn't have it before. It's amazing and I RULE at the drums :D! Well... I always did but now I can in a video game too.

Harry's giving tours at the Statue of Liberty. I don't know how long this is going to last, since he didn't seem to like it much. I finally wore my parents down, and I just got home from spending the past two weeks up in New York, visiting Harry and checking out Juilliard. He said I need to visit him again around Christmas, when the tree's up in Rockefeller Center and there's ice skating. But we had fun, anyway, and he found this movie that he said he was positive I would love. It's called The Red Shoes, and he found a videotape of it in some small store in the city. He was right, by the way. I absolutely love it, and I think it's my new favorite.
And now I'm more ready than ever to be done with high school and go to Juilliard and become a famous dancer, like Moira Shearer. But I won't have the same problem Vicky Page did in the movie. If I had to choose between love or dance, I'll choose dance.
I wish the Juilliard website would be updated with the dates and deadlines for admission for fall 2009. They still have all the dates for fall 2008, even though they've all passed. I need to know when the dates are so that I can start planning and get my application done.

Madrid was breathtaking. While I suppose I have to count seeing Niagara Falls from the Ontario side of things as traveling outside the country, this felt so much more like world traveling. The Palacio Real de Madrid was very stately, though I do not blame King Juan Carlos and his family for living elsewhere... it felt a bit more like a museum than a home. El Retiro seemed a fairy land, and there was nothing home-like about the Palacio de Cristal, either. I think I liked the rose gardens best.
Visiting the Museum of the Americas was very interesting, too, and I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to study history I consider myself familiar with in another country. Perhaps I should apply abroad? I hope it isn't too late.
I bought a lovely vintage postcard in an open air market.

It was only a week, but I'm sure my conversational Spanish has improved immensely.

Okay, so I saw Ms. Waters today and she's back from visiting Freddie in Alaska. Which means that I spent about an hour on my foot today just talking to her and listening about the time she broke her leg because obviously that's what a person who's broken her ANKLE wants to hear about. In any case, now that she's back the Latin Club can start thinking about resuming our fundraisers for the trip in December.
Any ideas? Swing them past me and at the first meeting of the year we'll discuss them. YES, Freshman-types can go, but first priority is given to Junior and Senior Latin students and there are only a few spots left open.
No, Latin is not the primarily-spoken language in Rome. It's Italian. Latin is a dead language, Charlie Sloane.
In other news, I apparently don't know how to be friends with Tony Marks without screwing it up and I really shouldn't put that here so nevermind I'm stupid
