The Scarlett O'Hara
Gone With The Wind - [info]redearth

Tougher than she initially seems, The Scarlett O'Hara has been the island of stability as her family endures her father's business scandal. Queen of the Junior Class, she's a shoo-in for Captain of the Cheerleading squad next year.
Social Group: The Cheerleaders

The Lucy Westenra
Dracula - [info]theblooferlady

Best friend to The Scarlett O'Hara, The Lucy Westenra is cheerful, materialistic, and a consummate follower. She has no aspirations toward achievement of any kind...except for the achievement of having a cute, rich boyfriend who adores her. There is more than one candidate for the position.
Social Group: The Cheerleaders

The Abigail Williams
The Crucible - [info]misswilliams

Daughter of the chief of police, The Abigail Williams is not afraid to use her father's position in the city in order to get her way amongst her peers. Somehow, she is never called out on or suspected - even though she was the one who busted that party last semester. The only thing she hasn't had to use her father for is her starting position in both soccer and basketball.
Social Group: The Cheerleaders

The Dorothy Gale
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz - [info]and_toto_too

The Dorothy is just so sweet, as any of her friends on the cheerleading squad will tell you. She can be counted on for a smile, a listening ear, or a great fundraising idea - even if you can't really count on her for a crazy party. The Dorothy's rebellions are short-lived and she's normally glad to "go along to get along" - but if there's an issue she really feels strongly about, or if people are being really mean, she'll try to Do the Right Thing.
Social Group: The Cheerleaders

The Petruchio
Taming of the Shrew - [info]runpetruchio

A newcomer to Apple Creek, The Petruchio is loud and eccentric and thrives to be the center of attention - and manages it with his athletic abilities. He enjoys a challenge and from the moment he met The Katherine, he knew that she was a challenge that he wanted for his own - even if it means trying to change her to fit in better with the more popular crowd that he happens to be in.
Social Group: The Sporty Guys

The Redcrosse Knight
The Faerie Queene

On one hand, you can't help but like the Redcrosse Knight. He's just so NICE. On the other hand, you can't help but hate him - he's just so PERFECT. He's the star of the baseball team, but he never lets it go to his head. He makes good grades, and he works really hard for them. What may finally be his downfall? His determination to pursue The Scarlett O'Hara.
Social Group: The Sporty Guys

The Edmond Dantes
The Count of Monte Cristo - [info]lecomte

You probably don't remember The Edmond Dantes. He moved away after Freshman year, and he was a total nobody - just a nice guy floating along through the school who found himself on the wrong end of some major bullying. Now he's back with a new name and a new look...for REVENGE. But for now, he's biding his time as the debonair quarterback of the football team and wondering if his new friend The Scarlett O'Hara has figured out his secret.
Social Group: The Sporty Guys

The King Arthur
Le Morte D'Arthur - [info]iking

In his early days at ACSH, The King Arthur was about as low on the popularity ladder as it was possible to be. He was a great guy, but along with his good friend The Edmond Dantes, he was mocked and generally hated on - and of course he never got what he wanted most of all: The Anne Elliot. Without the luck The Edmond Dantes had in moving away, The King Arthur had to do the hard work of pulling up on his own. Now, the rest of the Sporty Guys don't like to remember that they used to be real jerks to The King Arthur. He's one of them now, and that seems to be good enough for all involved. Now, with their fortunes reversed...does he still feel the same way about The Anne Elliot? He is also twins with The Lady of Shalott.
Social Group: The Sporty Guys

The Iago
Othello - [info]delgarno

He should've been appointed to captain of the football team, but The King Arthur got it instead. The Iago is sure that The King Arthur did something to influence Coach in that direction, so he's decided to make The King Arthur pay. With the other boy's doubts about The Anne Elliot, that seems a good place to start. Meanwhile, he pursues The Abigail Williams for his own.
Social Group: The Sporty Guys

The Anne Shirley
Anne of Green Gables - [info]foundinwords

Loud, feisty, opinionated, and smart as a whip, the Anne Shirley doesn't always quite fit in with her fellow Valedictorians. She makes the grades, though, and it's not as if she'd really fit anywhere else, either.
Social Group: The Valedictorians

The Elinor Dashwood
Sense and Sensibility - [info]soeffectual

Capable, calm, and responsible, The Elinor Dashwood tries her best to keep her flighty sister, The Katherine, under control. She has an unspoken crush on The Heathcliff and is student body president.
Social Group: The Valedictorians

The Elizabeth Bennet
Pride and Prejudice

Intelligent and opinionated, The Elizabeth Bennet is driven and focused when it comes to her academics. Among one of the editors of the school newspaper, she uses that as a way to let her more opinionated nature out. She is the older sister to The Lydia Bennet.
Social Group: The Valedictorians

The Sherlock Holmes
various novels and short stories starring Sherlock Homes - [info]thegameisafoot

Sharp, analytical, and always on alert, the Sherlock Holmes is very intelligent and knows it. He has a fierce competition with The Elizabeth Bennet, and considers the Dorian Gray something of an arch-enemy. Good friends with The Mark Antony. Has made The Eliza Doolittle his personal Project.
Social Group: The Valedictorians

The Mark Antony
Antony and Cleopatra - [info]debateislife

His rival, The Heathcliff, accuses him of taking the world too lightly, but The Mark Antony sees no reason that his drive and determination to succeed should prevent him from having a good time. He can jockey for position with the rest of the Valedictorians, but he can party with the Sporty Guys, too. A caveat, though - beware if you ever find yourself on his bad side. That drive and determination can be turned against others just as easily as it can advance The Mark Antony. Good friends with The Sherlock Holmes.
Social Group: The Valedictorians

The Heathcliff
Wuthering Heights

His rival, The Mark Antony, has frequently declared him to be totally devoid of a sense of humor. He is serious almost to the point of melodrama and passionate about everything he is involved with. Like the Mark Antony, however, he is good friends with The Sherlock Holmes.
Social Group: The Valedictorians

The Holly Golightly
Breakfast At Tiffany's

After being discovered by a talent scout, The Holly Golightly was wisked away from her trailer park upbringing to New York City. Now back in Apple Creek, she's living on her own in the apartments - away from her family and living life her own way.
Social Group: The Artsy Kids

The Phoebe Caulfield
The Catcher in the Rye - [info]youngest_one

Wise beyond her years, The Phoebe Caulfield often feels herself watching her peers and wonders just when they will catch up to her in maturity. While she is a friendly and rather innocent girl, she tends to allow herself to fade into the background - only to surprise everyone with a rather wise remark. The Phoebe Caulfield is also a dancer. The stage is one of the few places she doesn't mind being in the spotlight.
Social Group: The Artsy Kids

The Cyrano De Bergerac
Cyrano De Bergerac

He's charming, he's intelligent, he's witty, he's a master of everything he tries from the soccer team to the drama club (of which he is king)...but damn, y'all, that NOSE. He's desperately in love with his best friend, the Christine, but he knows he hasn't a chance of winning her love - especially with The Christian de Neuvillette asking for his help in winning her himself.
Social Group: The Artsy Kids

The Anne Elliot
Persuasion - [info]easilypersuaded

Once, she was an average cheerleader, pretty and popular and in with the In Crowd. Then she fell for The King Arthur, back when he was just the loser everybody called Wart. She let her friend The Lucy Westenra talk her out of her affection for him, and has regretted it ever since. Finally, she slipped out of the Cheerleader crew, instead finding herself at the top of the Arts foodchain as editor of the school newspaper.
Social Group: The Artsy Kids

The Lydia Bennet
Pride and Prejudice - [info]hooray

Flirty and a bit naive, The Lydia Bennet wants nothing more than to be among the coveted In Crowd and she nearly worships the ground that The Scarlett O'Hara walks on. Despite how self-involved she might be, however, she can never seem to really climb the ranks as she would like, but that isn't to say she wouldn't mind stepping on toes in order to climb those ranks. Being a massive gossip, she is majorly involved with the yearbook and is the younger of The Bennet Sisters.
Social Group: The Artsy Kids

The Christian de Neuvillette
Cyrano de Bergerac

When new-kid-in-school The Christian de Neuvillette stepped up to audition for Camelot, everyone who saw his pretty face and heard him sing knew he was practically born to play Lancelot, just as everyone had known from the beginning that The Christine would be playing Guinevere. Over the course of the play, he's gone completely head over heels for The Christine, but he knows that he doesn't have much to recommend him except for his pretty face and pretty voice and that The Christine loves smart guys and poets...but maybe with a little help from her best friend, The Cyrano de Bergerac, he's got a shot.
Social Group: The Artsy Kids

The Nick Carraway
The Great Gatsby

A newcomer to Apple Creek, The Nick Carraway moved from across the country with his new money family and almost instantly found himself to be the confidant of a great number of students at the school - including The Lydia Bennet and The Mark Antony. With his open-minded attitude and good listening skills, he is an easy choice for many of his peers to befriend, even if he is still trying to get used to his family's newfound wealth and falling into his place in the school on the drumline.
Social Group: The Artsy Kids

The Christine
The Phantom of the Opera - [info]delilahlotte

Rather soft spoken with the bad habit of fading into the background, The Christine has a beautiful singing voice and is frequently asked to be the lead in school musicals and given solos because of it. Best friends with The Cyrano de Bergerac, she is completely oblivious to his affections that he has toward her.
Social Group: The Artsy Kids

The Oliver Twist
Oliver Twist

Having been forced to ride the system for years, The Oliver Twist has been shifted from foster home to foster home for as long as he can remember, but never allowed it to bring him down or effect his attitude. He was finally adopted by a farming family a year ago and has been trying to find his place at Apple Creek.
Social Group: The Rednecks

The Ebenezer Scrooge
A Christmas Carol

The classic rich redneck, The Ebenezer Scrooge has a sweetass four-wheeler, the newest edition of Madden, and no sympathy for anyone who doesn't have all the stuff he does. He's well-known as a total dick, and most people only hang out with him because he's got a pool and horses. Somewhere in there, though, there's something redeemable.
Social Group: The Rednecks

The Eponine
Les Miserables

She may just look like plain old trailer-trash, but she's got -heart-. She's smart, and she's determined to get out of this damn town. The only thing that's holding her back? Her compulsion to rescue The Ebenezer Scrooge from his wicked ways.
Social Group: The Rednecks

The Wife of Bath
The Canterbury Tales - [info]raw_flame

She's been through a string of boyfriends, some who were good guys and some who were not. She generally likes to be in charge, run the show, and never be held down - and anyone who does try to control her is in for a rude awakening.
Social Group: The Rednecks

The Beowulf
Beowulf

The Beowulf is one of the greatest linemen that ACSH has ever seen. He's a brick wall of a guy, absolutely unstoppable on the field. He's not bad-looking, either, and can run equally well with the Rednecks or The Sporty Guys - but his best times off the football field are had going muddin' with The Ebenezer Scrooge.
Social Group: The Rednecks

The Theodore Laurence
Little Women

Not too worried about what's going to happen tomorrow, The Theodore Laurence is more preoccupied with the here and now. Coming from money, he isn't forced to work for his possessions as his peers might have to and grades aren't something that he's overly concerned with. He's a charming boy, but a bit too naive for his own good.
Social Group: The Slackers

The Eliza Doolittle
Pygmalion - [info]symphony_in_c

Things could have been different for The Eliza Doolittle if she'd been born into a different family, a different world. She's smart, and she's got enviable charm and looks, but she was raised by her ne'er-do-well single father in a cheap apartment. She hangs with the pot-smoking soccer players and generally goofs around. She's never believed she had a prayer for getting out of the rough side of Apple Creek...until The Sherlock Holmes decided she'd make an entertaining project.
Social Group: The Slackers

The Lady of Shalott
Idylls of the King

She's The King Arthur's twin sister who just never really lived up to her potential the way he did. She makes "only okay" grades, but she's an amazing artist. She paints beautifully, but she's a little too normal for the arty crowd - so she ends up with the Slackers instead.
Social Group: The Slackers

The Maid Marian
Robin Hood

The Maid Marian has always been waiting for something wonderful to happen, like in one of the exciting books she reads. She wants someone to sweep her off her feet, rescue her from this stupid town, and make fabulous things go on. So far, she's still waiting.
Social Group: The Slackers

The Puck
A Midsummer Night's Dream - [info]weirdaspuck

The Puck just doesn't put out much effort on anything...except for causing mischief. If a paper airplane flew or a joke was told, The Puck was quite likely responsible. His mischief is mostly benign but frequently irritating, especially to authority figures.
Social Group: The Slackers

The Tom Sawyer
Tom Sawyer - [info]black_avenger

The Tom Sawyer is a clever one, but if not for the aunt who's raised him he would probably never get anything productive done. Still, he always seems to come up with a way to skate by and find something fun to do (and that something fun usually involves one of The Puck's crazy ideas).
Social Group: The Slackers

The Athos
The Three Musketeers

The most mature in his ground of friends, The Athos is a good looking boy with a secretive past that has caused him to grow up a bit more than his peers. Rather than dwelling on his past, he prefers to use his music and express himself through both it and his writing. Best friends with The Porthos and The Aramis and is the lead singer and guitar player of their band.
Social Group: The Punks

The Porthos
The Three Musketeers - [info]bejammin

Always up for a good party, The Porthos is the most extroverted of his group of friends. He is fairly certain that a weekend isn't complete unless he ran from the cops at least once. A very honest boy, he has a bad habit of falling for just about anything and showing his more gullible side. Best friends with The Athos and The Aramis and the bass player of their band.
Social Group: The Punks

The Aramis
The Three Musketeers - [info]erimis

Loyal and a great lover of fun, The Aramis is also the more well off of his group of friends. Coming from old money but careful not to dress it, he is the main funder of the equipment used for his group of friends' band. Best friends with The Athos and The Porthos, he is the drummer in the band and, of the three of them, is the most dedicated to their music.
Social Group: The Punks

The Tinkerbell
Peter and Wendy - [info]pixie_dust

The Tinkerbell prides herself both on being cute and on being "one of the guys." She can play video games and go to the punk show with the best of 'em, and she always looks adorable while she's doing it. However, this facade hides some deep-seated insecurity that often manifests itself as a really bitchy display of jealousy. The Tinkerbell also has a secret crush on The Aramis, which she shows by being kinder to him than she does other boys.
Social Group: The Punks

The Juliet
Romeo and Juliet - [info]suchsweetsorrow

Never was there a tale of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo! She's absolutely sure of it, honest. They are star-cross'd, and something always seems to be standing between them and everlasting happiness. Her family hates him, his family hates her...and they're both REALLY SAD about it.
Social Group: The Goths

The Romeo
Romeo and Juliet - [info]stonylimits

Perhaps even more of a drama queen than his lady-love, The Romeo is both short-tempered and madly in love with The Juliet. Everything that happens to him (as far as he is concerned) is HUGE, and he will wail and moan and dither about it. Danged if he doesn't look good doing it, though.
Social Group: The Goths

The Dorian Gray
The Portrait of Dorian Gray

His hair and clothes are the envy of all the emo set, and the girls just -flock- to him. Eventually they realize that he's a self-serving sonuvabitch, but that never seems to lose him any friends...at least not so far.
Social Group: The Emo Kids

The Lucifer
Paradise Lost - [info]noshine

Once, he was the shining star of the basketball team, acing his classes, and letting the girls chase him. Then, over the summer between junior and senior year, something changed radically. The Lucifer no longer had any interest in the world of following the crowd and doing as he was told - instead, he was doing drugs, reading philosophy, blowing shit up, and alienating all his old friends - and especially alienating his father, who has kicked him out of the house.
Social Group: The Criminals

The Katherine
Taming of the Shrew - [info]evewasframed

Opinionated, angry, and a feminist to the core, The Katherine is all about telling everyone exactly what she feels and not sparing any feelings in doing so. She has a bad habit of being violent on occasion, but swears that anything she does is for a "good cause." Not only the younger sister of The Elinor Dashwood, The Katherine is the apple of The Petruchio's eye - but she wants nothing to do with him.
Social Group: The Criminals

The Winston Smith
1984

More preoccupied with telling any and all authority just where to go than doing homework or joining any teams, The Winston Smith always has a cause to fight for and is more than willing to let you know just what that cause is. He will do anything at all to prove a point and takes risks without thinking about the consequences of where his actions might lead him to.
Social Group: The Criminals

The Caliban
The Tempest

Rough and tumble, scarred, but a master of survival on the rough side of town, The Caliban befriended The Lucifer when he first fell from grace. They had one fight - ONE, and the result of it can be determined from the fact that he now follows The Lucifer without question..
Social Group: The Criminals

The Madame Therese Defarge
A Tale of Two Cities - [info]danseuse

She used to be happy. She used to be popular. But the popular crowd dumped her when her family suffered a very embarrassing, public scandal. Now she's no one - but oh, not for long. She's biding her time until her epic revenge... and considering how unstable and vicious this girl is beneath her serene countenance, her revenge isn't going to be pretty.
Social Group: The Criminals

The Hester Prynn
The Scarlet Letter - [info]redletter

She's not the only one who slept with her boyfriend. She's not the only one who cheated on her boyfriend with someone else, either. But she is the one whose indiscretions became well-known, so now she's got the reputation of School Slut. The girls hate her, and the boys talk shit about her, and she's been abandoned by her old friends. Now, she's going to have to make new ones.
Social Group: The Outcasts

The Alice
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - [info]odd_duck

What the heck kind of world has this Boston transplant walked into? St. Mary's School for Girls was absolutely nothing like Apple Creek Senior High, and Boston, Massachusetts was even less like Apple Creek, Louisiana. Talk about culture shock - they're all mad here!
Social Group: The Outcasts

The Rose of Sharon
The Grapes of Wrath

Once known in the school for being a rather flirty and social sort of girl, The Rose of Sharon quickly turned that reputation around and leaves many people wondering what happened to her. After her family suffered hardship and had to move from their large house in Ironwood to a small apartment in Hyde Park, she retired into a shell and is now a quiet young woman that seems to know more than she lets on.
Social Group: The Outcasts

The Quasimodo
The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Always seeming to find himself as the brunt of people's jokes, The Quasimodo just wants to make it through high school so he can leave Apple Creek behind. Despite being at the top of the list of victims for teenage cruelty, he is rather intelligent and his peers are often asking him for help on an assignment or project - only to turn around and laugh at him once he's finished helping.
